Our roof replacement process
We keep every project predictable and transparent, step by step:
- Written estimate and materials. You receive a clear, itemized estimate and help choosing the right roofing system for your home and budget.
- Scheduling and prep. We protect landscaping, gutters and siding, and stage materials for an efficient, low-disruption install.
- Tear-off and deck repair. We remove the old roof down to the deck and repair or replace any damaged or rotted sheathing.
- Installation. New underlayment, ice-and-water barrier at vulnerable areas, flashing, ventilation and roofing are installed to manufacturer specification.
- Cleanup and final walkthrough. We do a magnetic nail sweep, haul away all debris, and walk the finished roof with you.

How do I know if I need a roof replacement instead of a repair?
Widespread granule loss, curling or missing shingles, multiple active leaks, sagging, or a roof past roughly 20–25 years usually points to replacement rather than a spot repair. We can advise which makes sense for your roof.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most single-family asphalt shingle roofs are completed in one to three days, depending on size, weather, and any deck repairs uncovered during tear-off.
Can you work with my insurance claim?
Yes. For storm, wind or hail damage we can document the condition of the roof and work with your insurer's claim process.
What roofing material is best for the Portland climate?

Do you replace the wood decking too?
Only where it's needed. We can't see rot or damage until the old roof is removed, so we inspect the deck during tear-off and repair or replace any compromised sheathing before the new roof goes on.
